What is By-Law 25 ? The minimum requirements of the Insurance Industry (SAIA), as set in conjunction with SAIDSA, and monitored by SAIA-Approved, are referred to as “By-Law 5”. Despite the name, this is not the law, but the minimum recommended standard recommended by the insurance industry. These standards are set to protect both their clients, and service, and the industry themselves, by reducing the risk which they are insuring. SAIA is working towards making By-Law 5 compliancy a requirement for householders insurance; in much the same way as VESA standards became a requirement for vehicle insurance. |
