Bloubosrand is a small suburb with a country feel situated in a very central position close to everything - theatres, shops, Monte Casino etc. but you can also escape very quickly into the country side 'far from the madding crowd'.
Recently I visited the Randburg CBD and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere - shop keepers in the Randburg Square and all around are committed to supply good quality goods (I bought an unusual jacket at the Jeans Company) at affordable prices - there is safe parking and as a bonus you find a very helpful shoe repair service.
The Bloubosrand Community Forum asks all residents to be involved in caring for our suburb , please do not be discouraged if council does not respond - it's our home. We thank Top Security for their commitment to our community - they patrol every hour.
The Bloubosrand Animal Welfare Group is a subcommittee of the Forum and is committed to help destitute animals. We are a volunteer group who totally depend on the support of the public. We started 9 years ago with the help of the Tarr Family who owned the Jukskei Park Spar. and Ian Tarr was instrumental in starting our trolley project. They now own the Broad Acres Superspar and are our
greatest supporters. Pat, Vernon, Michael Tarr - manager Edison - staff and, of course, all customers - I salute you all from the bottom of my heart for your help!! We are in Cosmo City (RDP housing) every week-end helping animals with food - blankets - bowls - kennels - shampoo - dip and more. We are totally committed to set ALL animals free from torture and exploitation. We know what animals suffer in the factory farms and chicken batteries! We also help animals in Informal Settlements.
